Welcome to my website! I’m Paul Henson, a Sports Recruiter, I started Henson Next Step Recruiting Assistance to help high school athletes and their families with college sports recruitment. I will help you work through what it takes to get a student set up properly for their transition from high school sports to college sports. I’ve done a lot of research and continue researching every day to learn more about this complex process, the rules and regulations, forming connections, gaining meaningful insights. I am here to make the recruiting process easier for you.
I’m helping students and their families navigate the college selection process as a professional Sports Recruiter, but also as my passion. As a high school athlete in the early 1980’s playing both football and basketball I was recruited to play Division I football at Eastern Michigan University. That experience playing on a college team was tremendous for me. I understand the questions and uncertainty, the desire to play at the next level your student experiences in making a college and college sports decision. But the uncertainty can be surmounted with my help.
When my three children wanted to play sports in college I was able to work with colleges and coaches to find a happy fit for each one. We worked to find coaches that each connected with, in addition to finding a good academic fit. My daughter discovered enough about multiple schools during her process to make a very happy decision on her university of choice with a good academic scholarship. She found a great fit for her and she got a great education. My sons both wanted to wrestle in college, I helped find them places in colleges that provided some monetary help with both sports and academic scholarships to lighten our family’s financial load. The boys each worked hard in their respective sports and college education. They have become fine young educated and disciplined men with the benefit of having continued on with the sport they loved. I’m proud to have helped them make good decisions for themselves.
